Burlington Shore fishing with my kids
Hey Folks

Im looking to take my kids (8B,6G) out for some shore fishing.
I live in Burlington. I have previously gone to Lasalle but when we use worms all we get is Round Goby's which the kids dont mind but i find frustrating

ive used worms all my life and I have never had much luck fishing.
Im hoping for some simple advice to move beyond the Goby Smile

How deep is it where you fish? Gobies tend to be right on the bottom, so if you can use a float/bobber and keep the worm a few feet off bottom, you might have better luck.

If you're getting round gobies, make sure you destroy them.

Considered trying for carp using canned corn? They do get fair size and the Goby really don't like corn that much. Just make sure rods are secure with bails open so they don't get yanked in the drink. For fishing and chumming methods - try searching this site.

You might also wish to participate in this free derby at whatever location and chat up the other fisher-people with youngsters for info - get there REAL early and the kids get a free rod:

Cheers,
