Hi all
Hello everyone ,

I'm retired and am new to fishing.

I'm wondering if I can catch anything with trout worms from the shore of pier 4 in Hamilton these few days?

Should I bottom fish with a slip sinker or fish with a slip bobber?

Thank you so much in advance for any reply or suggestion.

Regards

RE: Hi all
Welcome to OSF.

A bit early yet, but soon..........

I use slip sinkers, but both would work.

Keep an eye on Bill's Bait's website forum (in Hamilton) for posts re action.

Cheers,

OldTimer

RE: Hi all
Dear old timer,

Thank you so much for your welcome and advice.

I'm located around steeles and hurantario and I've not caught any channel cats before and I would love to catch some nearby my place.

Wonder if there's any nearby places to catch cat fish.. Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards

You're not exactly located in downtown channel cat fishing heaven.........

But read this:

.pdf  MNR channel cat atlas 2003.pdf (Size: 133.5 KB / Downloads: 5)

And perhaps review the Ontario Guide to Eating SportFfish - for channel cat locations and suitable size.............

Search hits here on "channel cat" are also recommended.

And then................ plan your path forward.

Cheers,

OldTimer
