Went for a swim at Ashbridges

Had Ashbridges to myself this morning. Pulled a carp in at the inshore end of the boardwalk. Stepped onto the dirt bank at the side with my net in hand.... and slid down the pebbles on my arse into the water, right up to my chest!

Man that water is COLD!

Upon release - Did the carp giggle as it swam away?

I had a similar short tumble down a bank at the river yesterday- the sloping soaked soil just let go and was like grease- happened REAL fast - ended up sitting in the mucky slop - luckily I had a tarp in the truck to sit on for the drive home (to protect soiling the seat).

i put my hands in the water yesterday and said it was to cold, I can imagine taking a dip. I hope it was worth it.

Definitely worth the "trip" as I figured it would be completely empty with everyone else waiting for the zone 16 trout opener. Luckily I drove down so I was able to grab work clothes out of the back of the car and dry off after my dip, before driving home. Would not have been fun sitting on the TTC soaking wet.....

LOL... wow... i can only imagine how old the water must've been.... thinking about it... makes me shhhhhiiiivvvv....errrr.....
