There is bazzilions of sturgeon in Rainy River.

No season on them though.

I have some pics of a few accidental catches, and some pics that I took to show the MNR of poached sturgeon left to die by some asshole.

We managed to revive a few of them, but at least 3 went to waste

That's pretty sad. I have a similar story involving canada geese chicks.

A pair of geese nested behind my university dorm. one day the hatchlings drowned in bowl of water somebody put in the ground next to their nest. I don't think it was on purpose, but it was pretty sad.

So I reported it to campus police and they made me prime suspect. I had to give an alibi to testify that I wasn't there at the time of death.... I swore I'd never call something like this in again
