Hello Anglers,

I'm from Saudi Arabia, I grew up fishing in the red sea and had done several kinds of fishing including shore fishing, spear fishing, boat fishing, day and night time with and without rods.

I've been living in Ontario for nearly 4 years now (Kitchener for now) but never done any fishing. I just got my fishing license and I'm looking forward for some fun fishing in the lakes. I have no knowledge about fishing in the lakes or the types of fish here and I'm trying to learn about it now.

I'm happy for finding this forum since I have no boat and I'm not willing to spend money on renting one.

I look forward to hear and learn from you people
Cheers

Shore fishing in the Red Sea is not that great because of the rocks and corals it has, you can easily catch small fish and once in a blue moon you may get a big catch. Fishing off boats is great though! Spear fishing is awesome too specially if you go at night you can easily catch sleeping fish!
Welcome Outlandish. I too grew up on salt. It takes a bit of getting used too. I think we’re spoiled coming from saltwater. Patience and tolerance are virtues :-)
