I will be heading up to the Blind River area this coming up weekend. Have a speeding ticket i need to fight. Was wondering if anyone knows any good fishing spots up there? And not quite sure what they have to fish there. I know the river right there is right off the great lake. Also have seen many bald eagles while driving by that area.

The farthest I've been up is Killarney Provincial Park, and in that park there are a lot of "dead" lakes with little or no animal or plant life. Carefully you don't end up fishing one of those!
Given the remoteness, I'm sure you can find a good fishing spot.
I was looking closer at maps. Looks like the north channel might be good, it's very wide and links many times to lake huron. If this rain keeps up, it might be even better on the shore.
Update:. First day done in blind river. Wish i had laptop to post pictures. Fish caught so far are panfish, bass, trout. Almost a big turtle. And swimming in the stream behind the hotel ive been fishing at is a spotted gar. Makes the bass look small. Hopefully some more good luck today.

If you can find the gar(s) again, get a float, some minnows and some size 8 treble hooks. Chunk the minnows into 1/2 of a thumb size and see if you can get them to bite. Would be awesome!
