Hi I recently picked up fishing. Im from the Toronto Area but I immigrated to Canada when I was 12 years old.

Back in my old country, I was used to using nets to fish and setting baits on the shore (hooks on a stick). --> more for consumption really.

Also, have experience with using natural poisons found in certain trees to fish.

I found in Canada we have much more sophisticated equipment and more leisure type of fishing
