Hi All,
I am new fisherman. I am planing fishing for catfish next weekend. I have done a plenty of research about this.
based on my finding from the internet. I am going to do
1. fishing at Hamilton area
2. using chicken liver or cut bite.

Since this is first time fishing catfish and first time fishing at Hamilton. I just want to know if this is good time for fishing catfish.

by the way, I heard a lot of people say, there are a lot of sheephead at Hamilton as well. is this good season for fishing sheephead at Hamilton?

Really appreciate any input and suggestions.

Yes.

I prefer cut bait for Channels.

The mouth of Desjardin to main bay was good years ago, and may be of interest..?....?

Cheers,

Thank you very much for your information.
I will try this spot and will keep posting the result.
I caught a big one right beside the dam at Caledonia.

It is a good spot, but too many people.

I agree. - The reason I rarely (if ever) fish there.

I was Dunville last Sat. the bait I used is "cut bait". but no luck. I was there at 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. I saw the fish jump. but I didn't get any bite.

will try different place this weekend and keep posting.
More than likely you witnessed Carp rolling.
