Though it is open to all age group, I guess it would be somewhat embarrassing if one would be seen competing against other children beside the pool. I have not read of any catch and release rule so far.

How can these trout survive on chlorinated pool?

Let me see.........Should I bring my centerpin setup or fly rod?.............or course with my small niece!

Time:
3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Weekdays
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday

Entry Fee:
$3.00 per person with a limit of one (1) fish
Each fish over the limit is $3.50
A $1.00 fee will be charged for each fish cleaned

I doubt they will have chlorinated water. And on another board there's a link to a news article that says some animal rights activist has started a petition to stop the event. I think those in favour should start a petition to allow it, they will probably get more signatures, and faster.
