I've been fishing Lake Belwood quite a bit lately with some good results but I want to try someplace new this week...

Any opinions on Conestogo? What species are in there and how the ecosystem is? I'd imagine being a reservoir that it'd be deep and rocky like Belwood, but also heard it receives heavy fishing a boating pressure..

what kind of fish did you catch at lake belwood? I was fishing at toronto island but did not catch anything. i saw huge carps but they wont even go near your bait ..they kept on circling around the lure

Did you try googling them? The Grand River Conservation Authority website has entries for all its parks including Conestoga and Belwood that actually name the fish species that live there.

The Toronto Islands produce pike for a lot of people, but it takes some luck and patience.
