Has anyone read any more on this?

Seems to have been ignored away?????????????

I’d like to know……… how bout you?
I dug into this a bit further by contacting Jeff Yurek, the MPP who initiated this query.

He has responded – and informs me that this issue is “far from resolved” and that he is being stone walled by the ministry ………….they refuse to provide any information or any type of answer.

This has been going on since October!

This is not acceptable. Full transparency is required, and is not optional even if your party has a house majority. Furthermore this smacks of purposeful inter-party non co-operation between the reigning Liberals and the PC’s.

The moneys we anglers and hunters spend on fees and licences were from day one to be spent on wildlife management. It seems by the unwillingness to provide detail our present Ontario (Liberal) government is attempting to hide something………… otherwise we’d have the info.

I attach MPP Yurek’s letter to the Auditor General requesting the information. (see bottom here)

I also attach a petition form he has initiated should you wish to get involved.

I shall, in the days ahead, contact a throng of MPP’s, ministers, MP’s, newspapers, other media organizations and personnel to pump this up a tad……………….. I invite you to do the same in your areas.

We need confirmation that things are fine…………. Or correction and reversal of any mis-use, plus guarantees, ongoing safeguards, and perhaps mandatory annual reports showing that the funds are & will be used as promised as long as they are collected.

Cheers,

OldTimer

Maybe it's time to show up with some 10/0 hooks and drag some people out for answers. >Smile
For reference - this is what they say the funds are SUPPOSED to be spent on (in the 2017 regulations):

Hopefully the actual list will mimic this.
