Alberta has a great Trout stocking program,
I made the visit to allot of trout ponds around edmonton when i was there a few years back the best spot i remember was MUIR LAKE.
and What you guys consider a lake out there, we would call a pond ...
check out Lake Dalrymple.
Very nice for bass and crappie,
If you google it youll notice a rd, between the two sides of dalrymple you can shore fish in that area,
also launch a row boat canoe or "HOBIE"
Ashley Rae is a good friend of mine and is sponsor'd by hobie, if you ever get out here in the summer you should try taking your hobie out for King salmon on lake ontario there is a good group of hobi enthusiasts out there.
If you go back to Simcoe, Check out LAGOON CITY, in beaverton.
There is a nice chanel you can fish off, I have caught allot of bas and pike off that canal.
