you can park road side at steeles and 9th just at the bridge,
You can walk north on the river from there just past the train bridge there is a really nice hole below a dam...
I am friends with the superintendant on the south side of Steeles, "CEDAR BRAE"
for the most part those guys will not bother you if your a staying within the flood banks of the river.
You cannot use my name as a way of gaining permission but if you dont bother anyone on the golf course and stay within the flood banks of the river they almost never bother anyone walking through.
Parkview on the northside is a bit different, not sure how they will react to anglers, but to be honest there are not many great holes there,
There is a church on 14th ave just west of 9th line, i sometimes in the past have parked there, and walked to the river from there, heading south on the river staying on the west side of the river, there are a few nice holes there, These are my neighbours backyards so keep quiet and keep you areas clean..
Again on the north side of 14th there is yet another golf course "MARKHAM GREEN" ...
Again for the most part these guys will not bother you if your out of the way and are respectful. But remember it is private property and they have the right to ask you to leave. Again stay on the flood banks of the river, Rouge River Is considered a navigatable waterway, and the banks do not belong to the persons that own the property beside it.
Just like lake simcoe, in actuality, you can walk across the shoreline of any property on lake simce and fish from the shoreline or even on peoples docks,
Is It polite to walk through peoples backyards? no, obviously, but if a person did, there is not much a court can do tp have tresspassing charges held up, Unless of course your a blantant idiot that has no respect for peoples property, But We dont have to worry about that in this group...
