Decided last minute to hit my personal fishing pier for one last time this year. Didn't bother with trolley or balloon rig, just banged 3 oz out as far as I could with a spicy corn and seaweed boilie and a pva bag filled with crushed boilie bits and milk powder.
Froze my ass off for four hours and got two Carp. Unusually for this venue they were both well under 10lbs But, at least I had no problem getting them into the drop net without them winding around the pier legs.... this also meant I got two cans of frosty beer as well!
Looking at work this month, I am probably done fishing for 2012....

Not too bad, considering your previous visit there involved sitting in the WIND and no fish ! Glad to see your pier is still producing something at least!

Yes, there's no way I would have lasted with those howling winds, on top of the temperatures I had this time around. I think Im done for 2012, time to go through all the gear, throw some stuff out, service the reels and hit the January sales for some new toys for 2013...!

congrats on the dec carp....mike the outer harbour where we did shoreline cleanup had pike and carp and trout two weeks ago.
thursday dec 13 i have part of the day off and will do a recon of that area...will let you know.
