We Are getting geared up for the spring run of rainbow trout.

The Metro East Anglers, would like to extend the opportunity for the public to help with this years operations.
With insurance and legality purposes, only those over the age of 18 will be permitted to step inside the barrier of the fish ladder, anyone can come to visit the group for the outings that will be held, allot of information about rainbow trout and their spawning runs can be learned by people of all ages.

We are setting up teams of interested volunteers, Those interested are asked to send an email in regards to their interest in the operations of the Milne fishway, in Markham.

We will also be looking for volunteers to walk the rouge river system and complete "Redd"/ "Spawning Bed" counts, to help provide information on the areas the rainbow trout are spawn and if they are successful or not.

We still have not yet opened the fishway, once we open the ladder up our dates will be set.
