| » mcfly - 22-06-22:17 -- I was at a busy richmond hill spot for opener. Ended up snagging a huge 30"+ carp by accident using a #1 mepps. Biggest fight I've had since 10 years ago salmon run! It took half my spool before I could slow it down! There was a huge crowd watching me, got some video but once I saw it wasn't a fair catch I told them to stop. Brought it to shore, was trying to land it myself without a net but it unhooked itself. Technically a nice catch & release but would have loved a pic! Glad it wasn't that injured though. Good test of my 8lb fireline and 7' medium light rod! | |
