The Ice Is safer than at any point it was last year, a solid 6 inches of ice for the most part.

allot of people on the ice today, there must have been from early in the morning to 4:00 pm when i left over 120 people visit the bay.

i counted at one point 43 different fishermen on the ice, i have never seen that many people fishing the bay on the ice.

Got into My first pike of the year early today,

And a half dozen Perch.

with all the traffic on the ice would ex[ect to see more fish iced, saw one pike about the 6 pound mark iced today and one guy showed a picture of a pickerel/walleye tht was iced too...

Crazy amount of People there today.i got there and there was no parking.i didn't even bother.i saw lots of cops and fire what happend

some idiot took a argo out on the ice, nad got stuck it floats, but i guess someone called 911 because an idiot broke through the ice..


that was way away from our fishing grounds..


nothing to worry about...






except for the wasted time energy and money for the emergency crews


its was a tough bite, but im out again tomorrow, if you see me, do not hesitate to introduce yourself.

It seems like ice will thaw for the weekend. +11. Will see if shorefishing the Frenchman will be possible. Had a great success shore fishing pike last December...jig w/ trailer under a float was always my setup.
