I will definately try to make it out. I am @ work until about 7pm (month end). Ive never targeted carp before. I run 8 lb mono on a 6'6 spinning set up. Would i be ok with that?
big hooks, small hooks? Any info would help!

That set-up sounds just fine, what size spool is your reel?

my spool holds about 130 yds of the 8 lb mono.

That's fine for the river, but you may need a bit more on open water, a big carp can peel line away like nothing. I'll bring an extra reel of mine in case we move to the mouth of the river.

Did you stay up at Old Mill, or did you manage to find the small parking lot next to the gas station ok at Humber Marsh?
