RE: OSF Garbage Derby - OldTimer - 08-30-2013 12:31 PM More "pig" tracks from today's outing, all within 20 feet of shoreline: [attachment=638] Disposed of properly..................... OT RE: OSF Garbage Derby - MichaelAngelo - 09-03-2013 09:33 PM One man's coffee is another guy's energy drink. Once salmon season heats up it shouldn't be too hard for me to find heaps of trash (and free bobbers... yay!) RE: OSF Garbage Derby - diggsyuu - 09-04-2013 03:30 AM the experience hasn't been obtainable, in case her hold appeared to be rejuvenated RE: OSF Garbage Derby - ST_ShoreFisher - 09-04-2013 12:10 PM i think this is a great idea, congrats to all of you putting in the effort. next time i head out i will do my part. RE: OSF Garbage Derby - OldTimer - 06-05-2015 12:24 PM I cleaned this spot less than a week ago and here's what was on that river bank this morning: [attachment=1026] Disposed of properly. Like wow. Everytime I make it to Jacksons Point and do rounds on arrival to clean up the best I can on shore of line and garbage then before leaving I do rounds again. I think the people living at the boat marina probably noticed by now that some fishing people try and keep the place clean which will help in the long run for all people wanting to fish. Now I can easily beat the OP's photo by about 50-100fold if I had the time and a long arm and stick because anyone that has been on the breakers knows what I mean here. Those weasels are living large on the breakers with all the stuff in the cracks. A bonus to cleaning up someone elses line mess is free tackle/hooks which I resharpen and keep as spares not only for my use but to share if someone needs a hook. I should get the swimming goggles on as there are a lot of tear drop sinkers by the railway ties, hooks, and lures snagged up around the place. Last friday when I was here I saw a bright green tiger stripe pattern spoon closest to the yellow railing on the rail tie and have seen before what appears to be a 5 of diamonds red/yellow lure which IIRC are pricey. I should have asked the scuba group of people there yesterday if they could have spent 5-7mins scanning the railway ties and plucking up the lures for me. Everytime I go out fishing I always get some free tackle or gear. ![]() |
