Weekend May 4th / 5th.... fishing - MikeH - 05-01-2013 08:12 PM

I'm heading to TTP for the day on Saturday 4th, then heading down to Hamilton (CCIW) for the CAG fish-in on Sunday 5th.

So where are you heading this coming weekend?

Perhaps a bit of cat hunting in the West harbour, or Jordan, or the Grand - will decide on the spur of the moment if time becomes available.

There may be quite the crowd at the CAG deal........... and at several locations around the bay. Should be fun.

Also thinking perhaps the Mooneye might be good in the lower Grand with these recent warmer temperatures........ water levels' stiil a bit high though........

EDIT - tried the West harbour for cats ........... nadda.......... way too much algae for as far out as you can cast..... won't do that again!

Were the Kawarthas hit by the recent heavy flooding as much as the Muskoka / Bracebridge area?

Yup - I can confirm that. Was there on Saturday and the water level was about 2.5 feet higher than last summer.

Location: Bewdley.

No pictures Blush phone died when the canoe flipped over.

Lost:
- My pride - had to be rescued by sea-doo
- 2x spinning combos - bottom of the lake. Confused

caught and safely released the following:
- 1 crappie - heddon tiny torpedo
- 1 perch - #3 dollarama in-line spinner
- 1 rock bass - #3 dollarama in-line spinner
- many large mouths between two-four pounds - #1 and #3 dollarama in-line spinners, dollarama crankbait and heddon tiny torpedo
