Spotted many sucker fish in the grand river. But they were very corn shy today. Does anyone know of any other bait for them that would work just as well?

Worms work well for sucker..

Yes, I threw 3 night crawlers in the bottom of the grand river on two circle hooks for catfishes, but suckers always hook set themselves on my line.

I would suggest worms as a primary bait for suckers in the Grand.............
