Mount Joy Carp Meetup! - Giuga10 - 07-16-2013 07:01 PM

I just made a fresh batch of boilies last night and I'm dying to try them out but Carping alone can be quite boring at times especially when there's no action. And more lines in the water should lead to some good luck.

No dates are set yet.

Let me know. Hopefully I can get my first Carp!

You KNOW i'm soooo down for carping. I carp pretty much 5 days a week! Hopefully I dont have work when you plan to go. I have a variety of carp baits and mix up my own chum. I also have a few friends that have carp experience as well. Let me know when your planning to go!

I might actually go nightfishing for carp tonight at the bluffs

Good luck with your outings...hopefully we can see some pics soon. Was at Milne today. Lot's of carp action(jumps) but no angler. I was going after bass and caught 3 bass with the biggest almost a pound and like 7 rainbows. No one but ducks and turtles fished with me.

Carp were on fire tonight. Lost so many. They were biting within 1 minute of dropping the bait! I had one that I lost because my reel had a bird's nest that I couldn't see (since it was dark). So my drag didn't kick in and there was too much pressure on the fish. I heard a snap and thought he broke my line. When I reeled up I realized the hook had bent on the fish! And it was a heavy gauge carp hook, so must have been a monster!

Nice catch! Did you fish with floater or spring feeder at the bottom and what bait you used? Corn or boilies?

Spring feeder with corn. Smallest carp I caught yet!

when will you meet up? I hope I can come and learn how to catch carp, I've never caught a single one.

Sounds like a great idea!
Just to toss a rough date out there, hows this coming Saturday sound?

Of course this date can be rescheduled if needed.

Let me know Smile

sounds fun. specially for a small pond like this. I will most probably join but will go after panfish or bass instead. I kinda liking light action fishing lately. I've caught bass there years ago.
