Is there a specific place to report gobies? - sonicsink - 09-28-2013 09:18 AM Yesterday I discovered a nice place to fish on a very small winding river (I'll try to do a report on this later ). It's about 10km inland from the St-Laurence. My son casted out, and within a minute he yells out "I got a bite!" I was shocked that what he pulled in was a goby. I knew they were in the St-Laurence river and the great lakes, but I had no idea that they could make it this far inland especially in such a small river. I tried to search online for a specific place to report it (it was in a Qc river) I found some mention of a Goby watch group, but couldn't find anything else about it. Anybody know if I should report it, and if so, who do I call/email? RE: Is there a specific place to report gobies? - Giuga10 - 09-28-2013 10:10 AM Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR). You can report it online of by phone. RE: Is there a specific place to report gobies? - MichaelAngelo - 09-29-2013 03:01 PM Are you sure it was a goby and not a sculpin? http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/Default.aspx?tabid=23571 RE: Is there a specific place to report gobies? - sonicsink - 09-30-2013 01:25 PM Nope not a sculpin. The first thing I checked for was the black spot and the fused bottom fin. I'm going to email the info to the MRN in Qc. |
