Thank-you to everybody who made it out to our 2nd ever OSF Meet-up!

After a tough morning, prime89 cured the skunk. He should tell the story!

It was good to see everyone out there.

I had to bale early at lunch time after I had a too close encounter with a Canada goose at south point!! I avoided getting hit in the head when it attacked in full flight but it took the top 12" section of my rod clean off on its second attack.

Exciting times......

wow!!..yaaa googie told me wat happened..thts crzy..I almost got attacked by a swan lol.

@Michael...LOL...after trying all morning we went around to another spot where we all setup,
There was an area to the left which really had no access from shore and had lots of rocksn debris and a tree hanging over..so I thought maybe itl hold a pike...first cast and boom! ...I thought it was a pike but when I head my drag scream like that, I don knw what it was..why would a carp take a small x rap??..after few min of fighting the beast surfaced...it was the biggest carp anyone of us had seen..easily 30+ ..and long too...we all got a good look at it..I was slowly bringing her in..and it gave a nice shake few feet from shore and got away...guys told me I had it hooked right...but I believe I snagged it very close to the mouth or just above.
It was amazing! .. fight was crazy!..fish was a beauty..had shades of light red..beautiful. Andre has it on video, maybe some of the members can estimate how big it was.
Funny story was Michael was standing right beside me wither a net..his smaller net..when the fish surfaced Haha the the look on his face knowing this net aint gona work. Goof timesSmile
Day was slow after that..we tried different spots..Not even a take..no follows from pike. But it was fun..we gota have a bigger turn out next monthSmile

There are some Huuuuge Carp in and around TTP!

So it turns out that my "missing" section of rod had just dropped down inside. Replacement top eye is all thats required. Luckily I have a few spares to keep me going, (plus the interline on its way!!)
