Hey - --G-- - 05-29-2012 05:16 PM Hey guys, I joined up here after seeing it on the http://www.ontariofishingforums.com forum. I am pretty new to Canada (1 1/2 years ish) and even newer to fishing here. Back home (Scotland) I did a lot of dead bait fishing for pike, along with the occasional day on a boat. I have been out a few times fishing downtown (islands and the beaches) never caught a thing. Been up north to cottages before too, but again nothing (didnt really try up north) Getting a little downhearted about that. Trying to build up my gear here, so have a real basic setup. The advantage to this I think is being able to keep mobile when out fishing. I live downtown (queen and broadview) and would always welcome advice. I am no expert, but know most of the basics I think. RE: Hey - MichaelAngelo - 05-30-2012 12:04 AM Welcome to the forum, G. You'll find a good number of city anglers on here. I'm also a big fan of going keeping mobile while fishing. It makes exploring and sighting fish a lot easier. Make sure you check out MikeH's blog at http://fishontoronto.com. He has a lot of information about fishing Toronto. RE: Hey - OldTimer - 05-30-2012 06:09 AM Welcome to OSF.
