Get my fishing stuff ready after Covid - BongKong - 01-25-2022 04:16 PM

We have not fished now in 2 years because of virus thing. I think we can do this year.

Is mono line still good to catch or need new now? I looked at it and it seems to be stiff.

What else should I do to be sure to get ready to go?

I change any mono setups of mine at least once a year - not worth losing a fish due to line age or nick damage problems.

My spring getting ready ritual includes: check our licenses, read the latest regulations, check my boots for leaks, lubing reels that might need it, tighten all nuts and screws, make sure drags are working properly, checking line guides for damage or sharp edges, checking my nets, pliers and line clippers, clean the two thermos bottles, wash the food cooler bag, sharpen all fishing blades and shears.

Buy a new multi pack of hand warmers.

Plus a bunch of practice casts on my lawn or local pond - before I hit the real water.

............... buy some bait?
