are there any fish out there that would eat lily pads or lake grasses/weeds or will they just use them for shelter?

eHow lists young grass carp as a method of removing lilly pads in your pond... LOL
So I guess young carp eat a lot of vegetation.
Bass will definitely be holding in there! I gotta fish some lily pads with a topwater frog lure. Dying to try it out.

don't know about fish eating it but they Shure hide in it lol
