Jigging raps tipped with minnow heads yielded:

But they did not discuss how they worked the raps. My guess would be a very subtle tap/drag on the bottom... or not at all.

That's so awesome! Now I wanna hit Mount Joy with my Jigging Rap.

MA the guide said that they come in and bite them so I think it might even be fully jig it then wait a little, fully jig it then wait a little..... rinse and repeat.

I know a bay on the St. Lawrence where it happens on a regular basis. Usually it's someone jigging for perch with a teardrop jig and waxworm/maggot.
With the amount of ice sucker fishing I plan to do in March, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened to me. I just hope it's under 15lbs as anything over will not fit through the hole easily.
