They are hitting after dark right now, but as you said, finding a place is really hard. I was thinking about putting on some waders and going a few feet out from shore so I am no longer "in the park".... |

Starting to get the first Catfish on the Ottawa River. Very slow bite, but they are hitting!
Feels awesome to be out, but really hard to find places to legally fish. |

LOL - The funny thing about that measurement is my personal goal this spring it to catch a 30+ inch catfish... so of course you have to say it was 31 inches LOL!

Last year we started to get a few suckers right around this time, especially on the evening of sunny days where the water was slightly warmed up in the shallows. |

I used to fish the Grand up near Waterloo, caught Cats up there, but never any big ones. Any idea how many pounds or length the one was you caught? |
