Extending My Fishing Liscence
I may not be the sharpest hook in the tackle box but I am stumped when trying to get my 2013 fishing sticker.....

Background:
(i) I got my outdoors card in 2012 with first sticker embossed on the back.
(ii) My Outdoor card is set to expire in 2014.

Problem:
When I jump through all the online hoops at MNR to get a new sticker they say I need to by 3 year sticker (which I am against in principle as they do not offer a discount) but I am confused because why would I need a 3 year sticker on a card that will not be valid until 2015 (it will expire in 2014).

What am I missing?

This is a Problem Allot of people are having at the moment, you wont be able to renew your card until near the end of december,
it kinda sucks but youll just have to let the 2012 season run out and get your new liscense in the new year...

Have you tried going to a local licence dealer................ rather than on line?

Not yet but I guess I may have to if I have issues closer to the new year.

RE: Extending My Fishing Liscence
For those of you interested.... I tried renewing at Canadian Tire today and the person their informed me that MNR is not yet set up for 2013. They said MNR indicated they would be ready December 16th. She was not that optimistic but did think it would be OK my Christmas.

I also noticed that you can get father in the process online but you fail at one of the last steps (after entering credit card information).

I tried on line too - went along fine - took my card data - but then it gave me no options whatsoever to purchase anything........... not wonderful nor pleasing.

Thank-you for the postings guys, this saved me some hassle!

So I'll wait until... who knows when... before trying to purchase my 2013 license

RE: Extending My Fishing Liscence
After reading this thread, I was a little skeptical. My outdoors card expires this month, and I was able to successfully renew my card and buy a 3 year sport online. After entering my credit card information, I had the option to print the receipt and the new license (as pdf).

Hopefully, it works for those with cards that don't expire this year.

RE: Extending My Fishing Liscence
I just got my licence... I am rather ticked as my location now gives a two piece licence (a second piece of paper) instead of a sticker for the outdoor card.....
