If you can get a hold of it, I'd recommend the Fenwick HMG 5'6" GM56UL-M-2. This is the rod I use for all panfish and small brookies. It'll bend to the hilt and is too much fun. The only downside is that it has a Tennessee reel seat (two rings) which I don't mind, but I know some people shy away from.
