Media Coverage Toronto Family Fishing Events Saturday July 06 Grenadier Pond, High Park 10am until 2pm Sunday July 07 Centre Island, Toronto Islands 10am until 2pm Saturday July 13 Topham Pond, Eglington Flats 10am until 2pm Ontario Family Fishing Events Introduce a friend to fishing! Ontario Family Fishing Events is a province-wide opportunity for Canadian residents to fish Ontario waters without the otherwise mandatory fishing version outdoors card. The Ontario Government designates two periods throughout the year as license-free, February 16-18, 2013 (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Monday) and July 6-14, 2013 (12:01 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday). During all other time periods, Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 years must purchase a valid fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.
