Yo!....Been a long time!

Took up the wrong contract that put me out of the loop for most of this year and shipped my ass off to far away places.

Back in T.O.now, hoping to get some fishing in, and no more contracts!

So what'd I miss....? Big Grin

Which lake are the Grass Carp in? EDIT* NVM, Read the article... Sandusky Bay in Lake Erie. Could be some Grass Carp action in the Niagara glen coming soon....

I'm assuming that the inner islands are as dead as a Dodo right now? Low oxygen water filled with rotting leaves? Front wall of Algonquin is still probably still producing at night....

Thinking of heading down to the whirlpool on Tuesday for the afternoon and evening. Might take some Carp rigs for the afternoon session and a few glow spinners for the evening.

Been away so long, where to start!?!?

Someone got an 18lb carp from the Islands just a week ago...remember the Frenchman? Wink But I don't know where...and with what.

I do agree that the Islands are largely dead by now...as with every year. I usually find it pretty dead (relative to spring/summer) after mid-September.

I would say take some spoons to the Islands...deep channel...like you always do in the fall Wink If I can pull away one afternoon from work later in mid-Nov, maybe I can join you. Smile

For sure!

I would say aim for getting set up around 3:30 - 4pm while its still light and fish the deep water through sunset and twilight to around 8 or 9pm. We can still get the Ward ferry back. Due to the depth there I started bringing the fish finder and dangling the sensor off the end of the big tele-rod so I could get some idea of what depth fish traffic is at, and how deep to retrieve the glow spoons.
