Greetings from Kingston!
Hi All. I'm so happy I discovered this website. Can anyone give me any ideas on where my wife and I can do any shore fishing within a day's car drive from Kingston? We would even consider planning a couple of days mini-vacation around a nice leisurely fishing trip that doesn't require much physical exertion (due to medical reasons). Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome Reelman,

I mainly fish Markham and Toronto and I can tell you tons of different spots to fish, but you probably want some closer places. You can probably get some closer spots from other members.

Glad your happy to have found the site,
enjoy,
Giuga10

Hi reelman59, we are going to have a family trip to Kingston. Would you mind telling us some shore fishing spots? Thanks.

RE: Greetings from Kingston!
Lived in Kingston for two years.

The mouth of the Little Cataraqui Creek is a good spot for just about any warm water species that swims in Lake Ontario, depending on the time of year. You can park your car right where you fish.

Kingston Mills is hit and miss. There is a small salmon run every fall if you're into that sort of thing. This time of year it's all the usual suspects.

Walk the piers adjacent to the mouth of the Little Cataraqui Creek to get into some deep water. I've caught carp there and have seen some big (and I mean BIG) drum. Don't bother trying without a long, sturdy net.

Had some good bassing a couple of years ago at the narrows of Loughborough Lake, where Perth Road crosses it.
