Hello from Capital Region
Hi! I am from the Ottawa area. This is my very first post! Wow!
I do most of my fishing...
- from shore when I am lazy to load the canoe
- on google map when weather is nasty outside

I use spinning gear with bad habit of sticking to same old jig setup. It is just so versatile and productive for most species in Eastern Ontario! And cheap too!

BC

What part of the city do you usually fish?

Looking forward to seeing your reports.

RE: Hello from Capital Region
Thanks for all the welcoming messages!

Zippy - I usually fish the west side and downtown part of Ottawa River. Sometimes the Rideau Canal locks outside the city. Going to try the east end more next season.

RE: Hello from Capital Region
a canoe would be perfect to fish the spots from shore that i love to go to in your area...check out merrickville, off 43, kilmarnock road...also spots further down by rose bridges road...there are a few nice secluded bays that you could easily launch a canoe into....
