Islands / Ontario Place update May 7

*This is not really a fishing report, its just an update for those who are waiting for specific conditions.....

OP
No sign of new weed growth anywhere around the cinesphere, no sign of any baitfish schools in the canals at OP this past weekend. Water temps still showing mid 40's in the 15ft depth channel. Boats are back in the water, so there is some cover under the keels.

Islands
Lots of new milfoil growth starting up on the bottom of the canal around Sunfish cut, water temp was 50+ in 4ft depth on the weekend. Strong Carp jumping in Long Pond and Blockhouse Bay around 7am. Spotted large groups of minnows in the harbour side shallows of Olympic. I witnessed several small Pike being caught around south side of centre island on Sunday, (all were 2-4lb snotrockets.)

The booms and ride boats are in the water in Olympic canal.
