Public Pool Casting Practice
So………. I’m over at the local public aquatic center ……… and I ask at the desk if it was possible to use the pool for casting practice over the winter on “off” hours.
I thought it was a great idea…………. Don’t need lifeguards……I wouldn’t use the showers………. Plus I could keep my hand in on the many various top water retrieves, and be able to really see how a submerged lure or jig dives/tracks etc. in the crystal clear water. The pool’s concrete so I wouldn’t hurt it. The reaction I got was far less than positive, and seemed to trigger whispering and pointing by those few within earshot………….. Am I wrong………….. Don’t you think this would be great? You could even set up accuracy casting derbies. I’d pay to do it occasionally – would you? Cheers, OldTimer .....smile <>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><> See you on the river. |

RE: Public Pool Casting Practice
I've heard of fly fishing clubs doing this in the past. I guess you have to have a good friend that runs the pools lol
