Pumpkinseed Hybrid?
This Pumpkinseed does not look quite as should is this just normal variance or a hybrid? Caught on the Rideau in Ottawa. The spots seems more rounded than I would expect.... I have not caught many of these so I'm just not sure....

RE: Pumpkinseed Hybrid?
Looks pretty normal to me. There isn't much around your area that it can hybrid with except for Bluegill...and that doesn't looks like a bluegill/pumpkinseed hybrid.

RE: Pumpkinseed Hybrid?
Thanks! That's what I was thinking but it just did not look exactly like the pictures I had seen.

RE: Pumpkinseed Hybrid?
I actually find it very beautiful with the big round orange spots on the side. You don't see many that looks like that.
