I will be trying my luck at Mill Pond in Dorchester, Ontario for a crappie marathon.

If anyone's in the area feel free to stop by to chat and cast in a line.

I'll likely be trying my luck with some friends on the Grand later in the summer but for now I'll continue to explore London's little fishing holes.

My biggest worry is that my wife (when I’m dead) will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it. –Koos Brandt

The crappie were everywhere except on our lines! haha.

It was a truly strange day. The water was fairly clear and we could see schools of crappy along the bank.

They just didn't want to take anything we offered and we tried it all. It was just one of those days. We were not the only ones out there. Nobody caught anything. It was fairly cold out in comparison to some of the weather we've had so I figure they must have slowed down for the day.

I'll have to try this spot again on a nicer day!

That does sound strange... I thought crappie as some kind of super aggressive fish that bit on everything!
