Wink suckers
So I've been getting in to sucker fishing. Started hooking up on some small ones right in the upper beaches area. I had a great time last week pulling out a couple of small nice ones in a few minutes. I included a pic but my camera or my skills as a photographer are not that high quality yet. If anyone can point me in the right direction of bigger ones i would appreciate it. Saw two dark colored black ones swim by i guess there in spawning colors.

RE: suckers
Those are pretty typical ones in the Toronto area. There are some bigger ones in the mix but you usually have to sort through some smaller ones first.

Caution - Objects in picture are smaller than they appear. I am genetically predisposed to make fish look bigger.

RE: suckers
If you're looking for bigger, I think I've seen larger suckers pulled out of the Rouge River. You could try the Don river system if that's more accessible to you.

RE: suckers
There may be larger ones in the place you fished

......you said you could see them........so - try a deeper run.............in an side eddy, in a calmer slick below a riffle, or along a main current edge at the head of a pool. (same advice for most river species)

<>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><>

See you on the river.
