Pike - now with 100% more free lure
So I went down to HTO park boardwalk just before 6am and managed to catch a couple of small harbour Pike.

The second one came with a free jointed lure attached to its lower jaw..... I think it may be a Rapala, size is about J5 -J7. It looks absolutely brand new, no sign of any damage or rust.

BONUS! Big Grin

Cool - what's even better is that you know this free lure works.

<>< I once gave up fishing. It was the most terrifying weekend of my life. ><>

See you on the river.

Thats a solid catch Bro catching a fish with and getting a bonus lure must be like double XP. did you snag a pic by any chance of the two lure in the mouth?

RE: Pike - now with 100% more free lure
I didn't see it until I had unhooked the fish and was lifting it out of the net and it got snagged. Back hook was set pretty good into the back corner of the lower jaw, but the front hook was nicked into the skin on the neck under the jaw. It's pretty small, whoever was fishing this was probably not after Pike....

I replaced the hooks, and I'm thinking it will get an outing tomorrow!

It's been all polished up, ready to go...SHINY!!

There are no nicks on it as far I can see, but I replaced the hooks and rings with new ones, just in case.

ahhahaah, MikeH was there line attached to the lure?

Either whoever caught that pike didn't have long enough pliers, or the pike broke off. Tongue

Beautiful lure! Awesome! What're the chances!

There was no line on the loop when I took it off the Pike, so maybe the knot let go...?
