I have notice many anglers do not know the right efficient way to cast a fishing rod, especially when fishing on a boat with limited space, proper casting technique is even more important to prevent potential accident snagging someone.

Awesome video, I learned a few things.
I've always tried different grips in order to be able to feather the rim of the spool with my index finger... but I can never reach it I'm going to have to give it another look.
Easy cast is basically an off-the-beach. Great in that situation...but if you are fishing rocky areas, it won't be possible. You can adapt the same casting principles and mechanics and use the pendulum cast.
Not as "easy" as they say though...it takes a lot of practices to get the right mechanics...and a well matched rod, reel and sinker weight certainly does help.
As much as these guys are casting 150 yards - 300 yards, these distances are not practical or possible in a real fishing situation (unless you use trolley rig or slide bait rig). Once you put on a chunk of bait on the line, either with some kind of high-low rig or a sliding sinker rig, the added weight of the bait and the position of the bait creates a second fulcrum point...which will cause the entire rig to wobble and even spin...decreasing the aerodynamics and shortening the distance. Just something to keep in mind.

Works not too bad for "off the grass" or "off the concrete".
You are right on possible distance in a real situation - but hey - anything getting a big bait out 80 yards or more to me is a bonus.
