Thanks, I think its my biggest so far.
As for bait I usually start with roe in any situation. When I dont get any hits, i'll start changing it up. I usually do roe, bead, bead/roe, bead/pink worm and then pink worm. But that day I went to roe to pink worm. I'm still in the process of experimenting.
I only went 1-1 and I was happy for the day. After that catch I did some hole searching and I found some good spots that I want to try for next time.
so far, my biggest bow (7-8lb) this year came on a pink worm. I basically use a pink worm if everyone on shore is using roe or beads. Always good to try something no one else is. Which is why I always ask people what they are fishing with down at the river! Up north however, I stick to roe bags and skiens
