Happened twice last year... Will likely happen once again either before or after the holidays and in the March/April.

Though not the discount on the shipping the Rods.
Oh man, this is a really dangerous post. I might have to report you Wink
Watch out when placing a expensive order...

(Canadian orders will be charged a $3.50 brokerage fee, duty and tax.)

This is exactly why I haven't placed an order. I know I'm going to be stuck paying a $30 or $40 customs fee.
Watch out for your purchases. BPS will use UPS, and the service charges are more than $30+. UPS charges them reasonable to ship to canada, then CA customer will be caught with additional brokerage charges.

Any purchase under $15 will be free of brokergae, duties and HST, But what can one buy for $15?

One way is consolidate your order with few friends and get any company to ship to the US mailbox across across the border. for $5 per transaction per week, Then fish the whirlpool for that day and go pick it up. the custom border officer are very lenient, they will let you pass without paying any extra fees. I have been doing this in years and have yet to pay any HST taxes. I always declare my purchases, no need to lie to create some kind of credibility.
