Hey,

Here’s something for fun…………. And maybe useful……….

A Carp weight study/data base from OSF members…………… recently ZippyFX stated that there a few resources that have reliable Carp weight info- by length - by location.

This might be our chance to put something valuable together for Ontario.

I created a simple worksheet c/w graph to display the data.
Here’s the starting point data gleaned from a few 2014 posts on this site – with a few from the MNR – as an example.

With enough data – this might get to be something………

….. so if you can – weigh em with a scale…….and measure em in inches……….and post it here……I’ll update it…….. and hopefully it will continually develop getting more trustworthy as it goes…………………. Ontario only please.

Cheers,

OldTimer

Thats a very nice trend line that is developing/ My old scale broke but I got a new one. I hope to have more data for you this summer!
Nice data, OT.

I always laugh when people see a 30" carp and say it weights 30-40lbs Big Grin
This is a great idea. I have a scale and ruler in my tackle box so I will submit the numbers for any I catch.
