But if you really want one, you can try here (43.633559, -79.372702)

Appreciate the coordinates - especially when I stated "shore fishing".

I'm new to Toronto fishing and I found this forum where I thought I could find some honest advice, not steal people's spots ... Turns not, not so much ...

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to answer my post.

I was planning to use live bait. Is it better to use spinners, spoons, etc?

Thanks

We hear the sarcasm, but I doubt MuskieBait was being rude, he was just giving you the centre point of what is a very good shore fishing area. All around the islands, some shore spots like the foot of Spadina Avenue, and Tommy Thompson Park.
Search google, read old fishing reports and explore on your own. That's what I do and I'm still trying to figure out shore fishing in Toronto.

And yes you can shore fish MB's coordinates

Here is a website I found which shows you some shore fishing spots in Toronto.

True. But I found it a bit hard to find the not-that-expensive parking spots too.

Hi everyone,

what are good spots where it is possible to find panfish like sunfish and crappies in or near Toronto? I know the Grenadier Pond which has a huge population of sunfish (to the extent where it may at times feel boring to get a fish immediately on every cast) and some crappies? Wanting to try a new place, I went to the Toronto Islands yesterday, walked with an UL rod all the way from the Ward's island docks to Hanlan's point, checked the channels around the smaller islands, the inner lagoons etc., but didn't have a single bite and didn't see any sign of presence of that kind of fish. Not sure if it was just a bad day or there is just no such fish there. Instead, I caught a tiny (8 cm long) largemouth bass and, surprisingly, a big carp, but that's a different story.

So, where else it might make sense to go to try to catch crappies and/or sunfish around here?
