Hey,
I finally got down to this new store over the holidays (while on our way to the Falls).
It is immediately noticeable that this location is much smaller than the Vaughn outlet, and the gun section seems larger.
Nice aquarium. Interesting game and fish mounts. Pleasant.
It does have quite the selection of gear, but far from that in their catalogue. I had hoped to get a particular item (full size Fish Grip)- it was not stocked there - and the sales person I asked had never heard of the item even though it is in their catalogue.
Bottom line for me - interesting, but considering the drive time and gas $ ............... it's like their other outlet - just a place to go if I'm driving by while on my way to somewhere else, and have a few minutes to spare.
Cheers,
OldTimer

Yeah, there are many items on the catalogue that are not stocked in the Vaughan store...especially if you are looking gear that does not have a high demand here...
Sometimes, they may be able to order them for you and bring it in. I was at the Vaughan store when someone was ordering Penn Internationals and some trolling rods for their trip. This could be a new service because I've asked if they can bring some gear in for me in the past and the answer was always "no". But perhaps it was because I wasn't ordering three $800-$1000 reels.

Had anyone been to the big fishing superstore in Hamilton (sorry can't remember the name). I wonder how their prices compared to bass pro?
