I did catch a couple of nice ones in the Humber, early on in the run (first two weeks of Sept) around lunchtime, using a dropshot rigged roe bag.

Well they all die in the rivers, just that I guess this one didn't have a chance to spawn yet. If you fish in the early run you get the best fight. Late run salmon aren't worth it and are almost dead.

a friend of mine caught a 20ish pounder near the mouth of Highland Creek. Lucky not many people were there for the run!... I think most people went to Bronte LOL that was insane.
Not sure how Bronte was in past years...
I was there too, Not alot of people know that the salmon where stuck in the mouth of highland creek because they could not goin to the river, a big dead tree was blocking the river.. I caught a few..

Yeah I guess when they finally cleared those fallen trees blocking the entrance they all went up pronto! I was there at the mouth for a day or two but didn't catch anything.
There was a guy there with his dad that caught a nice trout, and kept getting fish on. Everybody was jealous LOL. Maybe it was one of you guys =P
