I used a drop shot rig yesterday with a single hook about 12" from the sinker. I got some cats at Rice Lake, I was surprised because i was targeting Walleyes. We actually had a double header with a cat and a walleye! Had no idea they hung out in the same places. I actually thought a slip sinker rig would be better for cats as I thought they were always clung to the bottom. The biggest walleye of the day was actually caught on the slip sinker rig! And a cat was caught on a jig tipped with a leech! Had no idea they liked leeches either.

As you can see I have limited experience with catfish lol

Catfish eats anything...even hotdogs. Big Grin
