If you are lucky, you may even see pictures or videos of where people have fished. We hear the sarcasm, but I doubt MuskieBait was being rude, he was just giving you the centre point of what is a very good shore fishing area. All around the islands, some shore spots like the foot of Spadina Avenue, and Tommy Thompson Park. Cheers bro RE: Shore Fishing in Toronto - shapirus - 06-02-2015 02:17 PM Hi everyone, what are good spots where it is possible to find panfish like sunfish and crappies in or near Toronto? I know the Grenadier Pond which has a huge population of sunfish (to the extent where it may at times feel boring to get a fish immediately on every cast) and some crappies? Wanting to try a new place, I went to the Toronto Islands yesterday, walked with an UL rod all the way from the Ward's island docks to Hanlan's point, checked the channels around the smaller islands, the inner lagoons etc., but didn't have a single bite and didn't see any sign of presence of that kind of fish. Not sure if it was just a bad day or there is just no such fish there. Instead, I caught a tiny (8 cm long) largemouth bass and, surprisingly, a big carp, but that's a different story. So, where else it might make sense to go to try to catch crappies and/or sunfish around here? |
